Co-owners Steve Doner and Spencer Jones bring more than 50 years of combined experience, a fix-it-first philosophy, and a one-year labor guarantee on the work they stand behind.
SIMS began as Southern Industrial Maintenance Solutions, keeping the machines nobody thinks about running until they quit. That standard carried over. Steve has worked in HVAC since 1997 and ran his own company for seventeen years. Spencer trained at Embry-Riddle and earned his A&P certification on aircraft, where a missed detail is a real problem. Jessica keeps the family business steady behind the scenes.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency AC repair?
Yes. We answer calls 24/7 across Putnam, Flagler, and Volusia counties. Tell us what your system is doing, and we will help determine whether you need an after-hours visit or the first available appointment. After-hours visits may include an additional fee, and we will tell you before anyone rolls a truck.
How often should my AC be serviced in Florida?
Once a year at minimum, and Florida systems work harder than most. Heating and cooling accounts for roughly half of a typical home’s energy use, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, so a well-tuned system pays for itself. Our $89 tune-up includes a 27-point inspection.
Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?
It depends on the repair cost, the system’s age and condition, and how it has been holding up. An older or noisy unit does not automatically need replacement. We will inspect it, explain what failed, and tell you whether a repair makes sense. Second opinions on replacement quotes are free.
What brands do you install and service?
We install and service Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, and Mitsubishi equipment, along with Honeywell, Nest, Emerson, and Sensi thermostats. We repair most major brands regardless of who installed them, and we stock a wide selection of parts to get systems running sooner.
What warranty comes with your work?
Every job includes a one-year labor guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. On new equipment, we file the manufacturer registration paperwork and walk you through the terms, so eligible systems can carry up to 10 years of coverage instead of 5, depending on the equipment and manufacturer terms.
